Basic infrastructure

The North-East region : 

  • The Tunis Carthage International Airport with an annual capacity of 4.5 million passengers
  • 4 ports , the most important of which are those of La Goulette and Rades
  • 53 industrial zones of which 21 are developed by the Industrial estate Agency
  • Localisation of industrial zones by governorate : Bizerta, Tunis, Manouba, Zaghouan, Nabeul, Ben arous, Ariana. Bizerta free trade area
  • important road network, namely the Tunis - Hammamet highway, the métro léger (light rail transit) network which connects the big cities of the Greater Tunis, a railroad network connecting the North-East region with Center-East , the South and the North West
  • The evolution of the post office and telecommunications sector has enabled the improvement of the services and has contributed to the enhancement of the competitiveness of the enterprises, namely the X25 backbone frame relay covering all the North-East region
  • Important training capacity

The Center- East region : 

  • Two airports at Monastir and Sfax
  • Two commercial ports : that of Sousse and that of Sfax
  • 34 industrial zones covering a total area of 3067 hectares, 30% of which is developed, hosting 1,370 enterprises
  • Localisation of industrial zones by governorate : Sousse, Monastir, Mahdia and sfax
  • An important road network : GP1, the Tunis-Msaken-Sfax highway, the métro léger (light rail transit) connecting the cities of Sousse, Monastir and Mahdia ; A railway line connecting the most important cities of the region and connecting this region with the North-East and the South
  • Amazing progress in the fields of the post-office and telecommunications, which has enormously to the enhancement of the competitiveness of the enterprises, namely the X 25 backbone frame relay covering all the Center-East region
